Baked Yam Fries

Made in three different ways- original, suya-spiced and chilli-lime flavour, you will probably never eat another meal without baked yam fries again!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups yam
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180*C.
  • Cut roughly 2 cups in size of a tuber of yam and peel the skin off.
  • Slice into fry-like shapes.
  • Sprinkle your yam fries with with salt to taste and 1 tbsp coconut oil.
  • Lay on a baking tray lined with foil or greaseproof paper and place i the oven to bake for 25 minutes flipping halfway through.
  • For your suya flavoured version, sprinkle suya powder on fries after cooking making sure to coat evenly.
  • For your chilli lime flavour, sprinkle chilli powder and rated lime rind over your fries and coat evenly
